Sensor saturation caveats
Water film height clips at 6000 µm. The MARWIS optical sensor
cannot report more than ~6 mm of water; over deep puddles it typically reads
only about 1 mm because it only sees the top film. Values at 6000 µm
are a lower bound, not a measurement.
Friction is bounded to 0.55–0.82. Readings at the 0.55 floor are
censored: real friction may be lower (e.g. in standing water).
Points affected by either limit are flagged saturated and drawn with a
purple ring on the map.
Points without GPS coverage (or with low-confidence forward-filled positions) are
flagged gap and are not drawn (or drawn with reduced confidence).
